Here are the final results for the 2008 Fun Run.

Overall it was another magnificant community day for families, friends, neighbours and visitors. We had over 1,000 entrants in the Fun Run events and a record turn-out of several thousand for Oktoberfest. Good exercise, great food, German beer, free entertaiment, camel rides and amusements, interesting stalls, perfect beach weather until late afternoon - Maroubra at its best!

Our apologies for the longer wait on results and trophy presentions this year. That will not happen again. Future presentations will be on schedule at 11am, as in all previous years. Notwithstanding the wait this year, we trust the electronic timing concept meeets with Fun Runners' approval.

For those who were not able to wait on the day, trophies are now available for collection at Walsh's Pharmacy in the South Maroubra Village Shopping Centre. We will be mailing a certificate to every entrant with individual times.

We are a totally volunteer organisation. Our thanks go to our financial sponsors, to all those who gave their time to serve as registration and first-aid staff (especially Sister Judy) and to all the volunteer race officials. Bob Price Trophies (93492922) provided the trophies again this year at cost.
